ABOUT US
Cottonaki is a project started by Yvonne and Susana, compelled by the urge to bring more positivity to themselves and what's surrounding them. This project wants only to focus on cuteness, with good design sense, connecting design, pet accessories and everyday life objects into one single world. Yvonne is an Architect by profession and Susana works with innovative businesses and research departments. Both strive to celebrate joy & design into the simplicity of living.
Cottonaki is the name of Yvonne's old tiger cat, who had spent a good last part of his life in sunny Greece in an olive field. Baby Cottonaki was found next to a dumpster in a bar in Shanghai, searching for food. After growing fat with Yvonne, they left Shanghai together, traveled first to Sicily and then Greece. In Greece, he found his paradise and decided to stay, under the care of a good friend. To remember him and his cuteness in the best way, we decided to name this project after him.
Cottonaki's favorite activity was hiding under the bedsheets hence the inspiration of the project's logo - silouette of the cat under the sheets.
Right now, this project is focusing more on dog products but it is only the start of a meaningful design driven way of life & community, inspired by Architecture, design, nature and our lovely pets.
We value little beautiful things in life. We are based in Portugal but we wish to spread our motivation to anyone who embraces life and good design. Welcome to a world where pet living is reimagined through the lens of architecture, design and sustainability.
